The Dnieper branch of the Radon Association has all the technical capabilities for the disposal of radioactive findings, – Victor Svidersky

“Informed people are safe”, - Viktor Svidersky, director of the Dnipro branch of the Radon Association, said in response to the start of the “KROK do Bezpeky” (STEP to Safety) campaign.

“IRS and radwaste management are our daily work. Our company was created for this purpose. We collect and reliably dispose of everything that falls under the definition of radiation waste. For this purpose we have a modern mobile laboratory, which makes it possible to immediately establish all the necessary characteristics of ionizing sources at the place of detection of hazardous materials. And our experts immediately know what they are dealing with, what technologies need to be used for safe handling and disposal of this item. Therefore, it is very good that such a campaign will start in Dnipropetrovsk region. We fully support it and will work closely together.

Informed people are safe. After all, the consequences of unauthorized handling of radioactive materials and IRS are different but unpleasant. At the very least, you can get seriously ill. So, we give simple advice. When finding an object with signs of radioactivity - move away from it and inform the experts. Moreover, Article 265 of the Criminal Code in Part 4 guarantees inviolability for voluntary surrender or notification of IRS. " - Victor Svidersky mentioned.
