Movies, games, social advertising: Olena Salnyk told how the work with the citizens of Dnipropetrovsk region will be carried out within the framework of the “KROK do Bezpeky” (STEP to Safety) campaign
"Before the campaign, we conducted a field survey and identified what gaps in the information environment exist, how people perceive information about contact with ionizing radiation sources, whether they have enough knowledge and understanding of how to act in critical situations, where to go, what to do, what to know about the impact of man-made radiation sources on a human body. And each answer then formed the basis of our consultations with relevant specialists and the production of information materials for distribution.
We will give simple answers to difficult questions in a popular science film that will be broadcast on local television, we have prepared social videos and videos for the Internet, we have prepared a computer game for gadgets, and even cartoons for children. We also want to come to schools with extracurricular lessons that will tell children about the simple rules of conduct in detecting IRS. We have prepared interesting and instructive information materials for distribution in government agencies and public places. We want to involve the scientific, technical, creative community to convey the idea of safe living and the right response in case of identification of IRS. "- Olena Salnyk summed up.
The Chornobyl Research and Development Institute Project Manager also added that the project team believes that in a year most residents of the region will know how to react and act in case of IRS detection.
